Now we are going to visit wild life at Serengeti National Park and it
will be an exciting visit for those we love animal so much. For the traveller’s
information, the Serengeti national park is undoubtedly the best-known wildlife
sanctuary in the world, unequalled for its natural beauty and scientific value.
The unique name of 'Serengeti' comes from the Maasai language and it is
means an extended place. The National Park, with an area of 12,950 square
kilometres, is as big as Northern Ireland, but its ecosystem, which includes
the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, the Maswa Game Reserve and the Maasai Mara
Game reserve in Kenya, is roughly the size of Kuwait.
UNESCO has declared Serengeti National Park as one
of the World Heritage Site. Serengeti is one of the most unique wilderness
areas of the world, fantastic in its natural beauty and unequalled in its
scientific value. Its landscape, originally formed by volcanic
activity, has been sculptured by the concerted action of wind, rain and sun. This
park is a vast expanse of land with a large concentration of plains animals.
